The Colours of 2024

If you’re ready to add some colour to your walls, but don’t know where to begin, then you’ve landed on the perfect starting point! In this post I discuss the colours making their mark in 2024. But I encourage you to not follow trends blindly - if red is hot but not your vibe, skip it! Stick with colours that resonate with you as they will promise years of love.

GREEN

Green, especially olive tones, will continue to reign supreme this year. Green brings a calming atmosphere to your home - the perfect antidote to the daily chaos of life. Choose a tone of green that speaks to you, then go ahead and paint a personal haven amidst life’s hustle. I find green to be the perfect bedroom colour for busy, on the go children!

BROWN
Love it or loathe it, brown is back in the spotlight! Whether dark or light - heading into beige - brown imparts warmth and an earthy elegance to a space. No longer considered outdated, if brown is a colour you’re drawn too, make sure to embrace its rich and inviting tones. It pairs beautifully with warm whites, tan and rich greens. Look to nature when decoration with brown.

BLUE
Whether you love the soothing calm of light blue, or the dramatic intensity of navy, 2024 has you covered. When used in your home, blue will create a sophisticated yet comfortable ambience, resulting in a tranquil, luxurious space.

PINK AND RED
Bursting with energy and vibrancy, tomato reds and playful pinks are here to inject life and personality into your home. Inspired by cultural influences such as the Barbie movie, these colours bring a sense of fun and playfulness into your home. If bright red isn’t your cup of tea, then look at brick red tones which have a more earthy nature - they add sophistication without losing the vibrancy.

Colour is your tool for self-expression. Whether you’re aiming for a cosy, restful retreat from the outside world, or a vibrant sanctuary, 2024’s colour trends have you covered. Feeling inspired?
